Architecture

Promenta can be installed in multiple scenarios depending on your existing SAP Landscape

SAP Web Application Server (WAS)

The SAP Web Application Server (WAS) is a standard component of every SAP server (ECC6, S/4Hana, CRM, SRM, Fiori Front-end server). SAP web technologies such as Fiori , BSP, WebDynpro, WebGui, ITS all use this component. It is sometimes referred to as the SAP ICF (Internet Connection Framework).

The SAP WAS is included in all SAP customer licences.

Promenta is deployed into the SAP WAS and delivers all web-based interactivity from there.

SAP NetWeaver Portal (Optional)

Promenta can also be integrated with the SAP NetWeaver portal if your organization is running one. This allows your users to access their single entry point (the portal) and view Promenta functionality there.

This is an optional setup

SAP Fiori (Optional)

Promenta can be integrated into your Fiori Launchpad or home page. You can create Fiori tiles with Promenta content and distribute to your users.

FAQ : Are there any external / extra servers required?

NO – Promenta runs within the SAP landscape and does not need any additional servers either externally or internally.

FAQ : Is Promenta a cloud-based external solution?

NO – Promenta is not an external cloud solution. It is an SAP add-on that runs inside the SAP server (ECC6 or S/4Hana).

If you host your SAP solution itself on a private cloud (such as SAP RISE or own private cloud) then Promenta will run inside that SAP system with no issue.

FAQ : Is Promenta supported on SAP RISE (Or own private cloud)

YES – Promenta is supported in a private cloud environment such as SAP RISE or your own private cloud (for example within Azure, AWS or your own data centre)
