Issue

In Promenta journal solutions you see message “Posting takes place in previous fiscal year” as a error

Background

In some Promenta journal solutions you may see an error message at simulation or posting time “Posting takes place in previous fiscal year”. This is message number F5 202 and is generated by the SAP standard system.

You may observe that this is a warning (not an error) in FB01 and does not prevent you posting.

Solution

 1. In the IMG (Transaction SPRO) go to : Cross-Application Components -> Bank Directory -> Change Message Control.

 2. Message Area F5.

 3. Make the following change to the Batch Input column only.

NOTE : This will affect all batch input processes that update via FB01 not just Promenta solutions
