SAP Setup
0: Authorisations
Promenta deliver a standard role which contains all of the authorisations needed to run the install process below
Recommendation : Assign role YZY_PROMENTA_ALL to your user (available since SP26-2). Otherwise assign YZY_MYCOMMSCENTRE_ADMIN
1: Initialise Number Range object
The number range objects must be initialised on each system. This is carried out in transaction SNUM
The system will ask if you want to transport the number range – you should say NO to this. Number range should be setup on each system manually
Objects to be initialised : ZPMT000001 & ZPMT000002 with the values below
Please ensure these values are entered exactly as below along with all leading zeros to avoid issues
Field | ZPMT000001 | ZPMT000002 |
---|---|---|
No | 01 | 01 |
From | 00000001 | 000000000001 |
To | 99999999 | 500000000000 |
Current Number | 1 | 1 |

These settings are unique to each SAP system in that landscape and must be done on each system manually.

Set key LOG/ ACTIVE to ON
Set key LOG/LEVEL to 3

Note that there is no forward slash at the end of this url
Note : if using a Web Dispatcher then set up it’s external URL in the parameters transaction using transaction /PROMENTA/EMAIL_PRM with keys WEBFLOW_BSP/WEBDISP_URL

3: Promenta Services
Activate Promenta delivered ICF services using transaction SICF
These services are needed to enable web-based User Interface for the solution
Activate : /sap/bc/bsp/promenta ==> activate all subnodes
Activate : /promenta ==> activate all subnodes
Activate : /sap/bc/bsp/sap/yzyprmntcusmime

4. Setup Logon [Running WITHOUT portal only]
Set up form-based logon . If not using any form of Single-Sign-On (SSO) then form-based logon must be configured. More information is available here : kb0002-was-logon-configuration
Note that basic authentication for WAS is no longer supported due to the many side effects and security risks its use brings.
