KB0037 – Excel Add-in “WinSize error”
Some of your users experience an error when running the Promenta Excel Add-in. The error may be intermittent or happen every time. It normally occurs when a user first tries to logon to Promenta

This KB article refers to the solution and work-around for this exact issue only. Other Add-in issues should be reported to Promenta in the normal way.
Cause
This issue occurs when the following scenario occurs (all items)
- The user has comma-decimal notation set in the Windows environment (ie they have regional settings that use number format NNN,NN to depict numbers with decimal)
- The user has a small screen OR the user has a screen with large scaling set
The Add-in calculates the available screen size and resizes the browser window to fit. This calculation can result in invalid data and hence cause the error.
Resolution
Install Add-in version 3.1.4 or higher
Work-around
If applying the latest patch is not preferred you can employ a work around for individual users who are affected. This should be seen as a temporary measure and the work-around removed when you update the Add-in
Update the users ini file located here :
C:\Users\[User name]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\AddIns\Promenta\Promenta_Excel_RFC_Service.ini
Locate the XML tag <WD_Size> and update the content to be a value such as 800×600
