KB0034 : Product key expiry

You are seeing popups in the Promenta solution similar to the one below (dates may be different)

Background

Promenta provides a product key for our solutions on an annual basis which should align with your support/maintenance contracts.

Product key files have always been part of Promenta and installed as part of the initial implementation.

Starting 2024 the status of the product key is now being checked.

If you have not installed a new product file since your last contractual review you may get warnings that do not necessarily align with your contractual dates. When the new product key file is issued it will align with your contractual dates going forward.

Product key checks – Additional Information

The product key checks operate as listed below. The dates / time-scales mentioned are for illustration only. The exact periods may vary or not apply to your scenario.

1] 30 days prior to expiry :  Admin warnings of impending expiry. These warnings appear only in the Admin tools (SAP Gui reports, Analyser, Process report etc). End users using the web views do not see any warnings.

2] Expiry : Admins continue to see warnings of impending expiry. End users using the web views do not see any warnings.

3] 30 days after expiry : Admins continue to see warnings of impending expiry. End users using the web views now DO see  warnings regarding expiry

4] 120 days after expiry : Promenta solutions will no longer accept requests.
