Magnitude GLSU (Optional)

Background

The Magnitude/Promenta Integrated solution delivers data entry functions via familiar spreadsheets but with full workflow-controlled approval, audit and control.

Prerequisites

To perform successful install you will need to ensure you are on the correct versions of software as listed below

ECC/ABAP :

At least version 6.0K

Note : Magnitude maintains a separate compatibility list. Access Magnitude website –> Product Compatibility Matrix

S4HANA :

On Premise Only – all versions.

Excel plugin :

Minimum versions as below
GLSU Addin Version 6.0 build 180710
GLSU Ribbon Version 6.0 build 171027

 

Setup

NOTE : You must run all previous mandatory manual steps of the Install guide before attempting to setup GLSU/Promenta integrated solution

These settings are the minimum that are needed – please refer to the this link for more settings

Run transaction ZGLSU

Execute transaction ZGLSU and click on “Premium user Functions”

Hit button “Maintain Technical Options”

Enter Promenta function

Under “Workflow Function Name” enter :/PROMENTA/ZOPTION_WF_START

NOTE : You may optionally select the “Hide Post/Park” checkbox. This will mean that users cannot directly post/park but instead must go through workflow.

Save changes

Result – when users press the “send to workflow” button Promenta will be called!

System User setup

Some customers use a System user to actually post the journals. This enables them to control access to transactions such as FB01.

If this is the case then the System user must be also added as a Premium user to the GLSU licencing.

It is the customer responsibility to ensure they are correctly licensed with ZOption for this functionality.
