Session Manager
The Promenta session manager allows users to view and delete their own sessions. Administrators can also view and delete sessions of other users

When to use the Session Manager / Why is it needed?
Promenta web sessions are managed by the SAP system and when you close a Promenta screen or browser then the session should be logged off from SAP automatically.
Hence in the normal situation there is no need to use the session manager.
However some scenarios can result in sessions that are still active (logged on) in SAP even though the browser has been closed
- Loss of connectivity such as a VPN error
- PC/Laptop crash
- Slow SAP or other infrastructure performance can prevent the automatic “log off” command being sent
In these situations when you try to access a Promenta screen you may get the screen shown below. You can now use the session manager to kill (log off) these redundant sessions
Session Manager : Inbox
The Inbox allows you to see their your own sessions and delete them if needed
- You can only view your own Promenta web sessions
- You cannot see other user Promenta sessions
- Other sessions from other applications (Fiori, SAP BTP, third-party) are not shown
To kill a session – which means to log off a sessions – select it with the checkbox and hit the “Kill session” button
Session Manager : Administrators
An SAPGui transaction code is supplied to enable Administrators to view and remove Promenta sessions for all users
Transaction code : /PROMENTA/SESS_MGR
You must have the Promenta Administrator access to be able to execute the functions of the Session Manager.
This transaction will show all users holding an open Promenta session with a lock.
Sessions may be killed (logged off) using the “delete” icon.
Caution :
- Users will not be notified that their session is killed
- User will loose all data in that session
