Error Reprocessor
The Error Reporocessor can be accessed using transaction code /PROMENTA/WSFI_BDCER
Restrictions
The Error Reprocessor is not available for all solutions in all scenarios. Check with documentation to determine if the Error Reprocessor can be used.
User must be authorised for the transaction and also authorised for the target transaction.
The users formatting options (date, number) may be different that the input data – the transaction does NOT automatically translate the formats.
Background
SAP is a complex environment with multiple users and continuous changes going through the landscape all the time. Hence it is possible that update errors occur and this program allows :
– review of the data actually sent to SAP
– rerun of data import in foreground mode
– Activate/deactivate diagnostics
Usage : View update data
You can use the Error Reporcessor to view the data used in the update
Enter the selected formindex for the request with a problem.
If applicable – enter the Subkey. The subkey is used to separate the data from several SAP transactions that are part of one request so that each update can be checked.
Select the option “Show the Update Data”


Usage : Reprocess Errors
You can use the Error Reporcessor to view the rerun the update to check for errors.
Note: This can result in data changes i fyou correct the error as you run the process.
Enter the selected formindex for the request with a problem.
If applicable – enter the Subkey. The subkey is used to separate the data from several SAP transactions that are part of one request so that each update can be checked.
Select the option “Rerun the update”
In the BDC parameters section you can change the values so that the update is fully visible (Process Mode A) or Show errors only (Processs mode E). These are standard SAP BDC modes.
The transcation will start (example below of a vendor change)

Useage : Enable diagnostics
By default Promenta solutions only write update information to the reprocessor in the case of an error.
At the start of a project or just after golive it can make sense to record all updates (successful or not) so that unexpected issues can be resolved.
You can activate diagnostics per application – this does not require configuration changes or transports
Select “Diagnostics status”
The next shows the current status of Diagnostics

To activate or deactivate the diagnostics – double-click on the appropriate row.
The new status will be shown
