V3.3 PromentaCA

Please consider using the Combined Installer instead of individual installation of components.

PromentaCA application required Promenta version 6.44.3.0 or above

Starting 2025 Promenta will be migrating all customers to a new version of the Add-in which is more robust and uses better connection management for SAP. The previous version uses Microsoft WebDriver for Edge as connection technology.

Installation

Prerequisites :

  • You have Promenta Excel Add-in version 3.3.N or later already installed*
  • You have Microsoft .NET Desktop Runtime 8 –> If not found the installer will install it for you **
  • You have Microsoft WebView2 –> This is part of Microsoft Edge and hence should be available in standard windows builds
  • You have a 64-bit system. 32bit windows systems are not supported.***
  • Note : IOS/Linux/ChromeOS are not supported

* Recomendation is to use the Combined installer

** If .NET is not found and the installer attempts to install it for you, then Administration permission is needed on the system

*** 32bit Office (on 64bit windows) is possible but outside of standard support. Please contact Promenta.

Start the installer

Execute the installer exe file called PromentaCA_installer.exe and choose the install mode

Install mode : Administrator  Mode 

This requires Administrator access

It will install for all users

It will install to directory : C:\Program Files\PromentaCA

Install Mode : Local mode

This does NOT need administrator access (Unless .NET Desktop is not installed already)

It will install to directory : C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Programs\PromentaCA

On completion of the install the PromentaCA program will launch. If you see a screen like the one below one then  everything installed correctly
